BOVO GAS station is a biogas purification station designed and built by SEP, implemented in cooperation with the biogas plant modernization project of SIA “EGG ENERGY”. BOVO GAS is already purifying biogas produced by EGG ENERGY to biomethane.
The integrated PSA (pressure swing adsorption) technology, with a capacity of up to 1200 m3 of biomethane per hour, separates the CO contained in the biogas2. The produced biomethane is compressed to the pressure of the local natural gas network – 17 bar and enters the analyzer – gas chromatograph, which checks its composition and purity. The production technology ensures the highest quality of biomethane with a margin, which is fed into the GASO natural gas network after testing. The station consists of:
The plant is designed with the integration of future expansion options, which will allow for an increase in production up to 1800 m3 of biomethane per hour, or 150 GWh in 2019. The expansion is already underway.
Additionally, the project envisages the implementation of CO2 capture and liquefaction facilities, the product of which will be 13,000 tons per year of food-grade green carbon dioxide.
