BovoGas - Iecava, Latvia

The project has been developed for the new construction of a biogas refining plant building in Iecava Municipality and is being implemented as part of the expansion of the SIA EggEnergy biogas cogeneration plant. The main purpose of the project is to refine the biogas received from the cogeneration plant and convert it into environmentally-friendly biomethane, which will in turn be fed into the local natural gas mains. The plant is expected to produce some 2000 m3 of biomethane per hour, an equivalent of the average annual consumption of some 20,600 energy-efficient homes.
